Opiniones de la estación Nakiska
Total (2.7)

They need to upgrade more slopes, service sucks, lift operator who sits on the post are un professional. They need meeting everyday how to be friendly and polite. Not all skiers/snowboarder are pro, some are new so don’t assume they are pro. If they make a mistake tell them politely, be diplomatic. Some are first time going there so they don’t really know. I recommend to have a meeting everyday about being helpful and humble. Never coming back here again. Or my family and friends as well.

Skied here yesterday and the snow was great. Best snow was on the edges of the runs along the trees. Sunny and warm, (5c) short lift lines. We saw a Lynx run across the run as we were approaching the top on the Silver chair.

Seeing this hill opened for the season in November we figured mid December would have decent conditions. This was not the case. Only a few runs open, many of which getting crowded with beginners. Runs at the top of the gold chair were icy. Have never seen as many people fall and slide down for meters as on the run just right off the gold chair. One day the silver chair was having issues and didn't open, even further limiting terrain. I almost never leave a hill but I did leave nakiska on my seoncd day after 2.5 hours. No side hits. Terrain park not even close to opening day. Glades are rocky and icy. There's man made snow on some runs but almost no natural snow on the bottom half of the mountain.

Great family resort.
Snow depth was posted as 131cm. Most of the advanced run had snow snakes everywhere with earlier season conditions. Does not have double black another false post. Has good glade skiing.

Nakiska is great when it has snow! Chinooks coming over the mountains can result in an icier experience than I care for, but no hill has perfect conditions all the time.
We are just coming off the hill as I type this. 2 tickets at Costco cost us 150 bucks and the hill had received nearly 60 cm of snow in the last 48 hours. It was awesome.

Up front, I am a 20 year+ snowboarder, I like to ride "skateboard like" features, natural and park, as well as powder and fast groomers. So based on this I'll give you my 2 cents worth on my home mountain. I've held a seasons pass at Nakiska for a few years now, it's great value for the money, ($300.00 can for an adult pass), it pays off in 3 visits. The average travel time from Calgary is less than 1 hour, less driving, more riding. The hill is fast as it was designed and built for the 88 winter Olympics. It has great lifts, and excellent snow making, so there is always coverage on the runs, but with out natural snow in the mix, it tends to get icy. The terrain on the front side is challenging for the new and intermediate riders/skiers, but advanced riders & skiers will find it a little boring as there is little to no natural features or tree runs and it is always groomed cord. With that said, the front is still great for carving and speed runs. The far side Monster glades are new and have plenty of natural features and tree runs, so that makes up for the front side. The terrain park is well laid out, has lots of rails and boxes, a few jumps and can be fun too if your into park riding. The lodge is great, parking is ample and free, the lodge food is good, and the lifts are fast with short lines. A great family mountain, good value and close to home. Some people complain about the mountain, but I believe you get out of it what you put in. If you explore the whole mountain you will find some hidden gems (and some not so hidden!) and cool lines to put a smile on your face. I never leave the mountain dissapointed, always a good day at Nakiska. If you are ever in Calgary, check it out.

Icy. Icy. Icy. Only stayed for 6 runs.

Great place for those who like to carve big wide turns. The lifts are quick and the runs and maps easy to follow. Food is good but overpriced for the quality compared to other resorts in the area.
