Me encantó Showdown.

The snow is always good and the staff is friendly, especially Ricky! She gets things done.

Great place to ski. Family environment, skiing at it's purest no resort culture. Terrain park is solid. Can find powder stashes even a week after storms but rarely a week goes by without fresh snow. This mountain catches snow like no other. Great trees to ski. Affordable tasty food and drinks. Brownies are a must try as is the chili.

Great family oriented ski area. Snow is phenomenal and grooming second to none. Love this quiet and vastly under populated mountain.

All natural snow and a great environment!
Best-kept secret!
Wanted to keep skiing after lifts closed.

Our family spent a wonderful day at the ski resort. We had tons of fun and the weather was wonderful. After skiing for a few hours we went inside the lodge to have lunch. The guys cooking were hilarious and got our food to us in a timely manner. However, the lady at the cash register was suprisingly rude and had no patience what so ever. We encountered her later when we sat at the coffee bar and she made eye contact with me but made no movement to leave the kitchen to tend to us. This was the only disappointment of our entire day. All the guys running the ski lifts were entertaining and accommodating to people's needs. Overall, a good time even for its small size!
Fun for the whole family

Showdown is probably one of the best. i've been skiing there since i was 5 and now am just learning to snowboard at the age of 16. its great for teens because they have a bus that takes us up everyweekend and we can create our own runs through the trees. all of our hidden jumps, runs, tree rails, and spots where the powder is so deep you just sink down and cant get out make it a funn and enjoyable time.
extremely family friendly wonderful.
terrian park needs major work
Showdown is an all around great ski resort. I would recommend this to any family. Good atmosphere and good runs.

At 70 years old, Showdown Ski Area still has plenty of kick. With new beginner amenities added this year and fun fall-line drops, it’s worth a stop on anyone’s ski tour. Located in central Montana—in the Little Belt Mountains of Lewis and Clark National Forest—it’s central from just about anywhere in Montana. For beginners, the ski hill installed a Sunkits carpet this winter along with the Sluice Goose Caboose—both accessible right outside the day lodge, where grandma can sit on the deck and watch the kids ski. For carvers, each cut has distinct varied terrain--no line of cloned runs here. The longest, sweeping groomers drop 1,400 feet to Prospector double chair with sweet-turn pitches on Second Thought. Or if you’re feeling like a show off, you can strutt down Payload lift’s Big Seven in a straight slice to the lodge. While a powder day would lure me out King’s Ridge to Glory Hole for a steep fall line mogul shot, firmer spring off piste moguls kept us on groomers. Top layers softened into corn snow by mid-morning, luring jibbers to the the terrain park to hawk their air wares and grind on rails. The best thing about Showdown is its size: big and varied enough to amuse, but much like a neighborhood where you can hook up with ski buddies. And it’s friendly: every liftie chatted with me. Contrary to my foggy home resort, blue skies were a welcome change. Might just have to head back for a taste of its celebrated dry powder!
