Beaver Mountain tiene muchos problemas que la convierten en un lugar frustrante para esquiar. He intentado pasarlos por alto mientras esquiaba allí de vez en cuando a lo largo de los años, pero a finales de diciembre de 2024, un revisor de boletos me acosó en lo que resultó ser una experiencia humillante. Esa experiencia me ha motivado a escribir esta reseña. Para empezar, los remontes son viejos y muy lentos. Con solo 488 metros de desnivel en su pista más larga y muy poco terreno, si es que hay alguno, que sea realmente de nivel intermedio, un buen esquiador intermedio puede bajar de la cima a la base en unos cinco minutos. El trayecto en remonte dura algo más de 10 minutos. Así que, tres horas de "esquí" son en realidad dos horas en el remonte y una hora esquiando, si no tienes que esperar en la fila. Pero, si las filas de los remontes son largas, como siempre lo son los fines de semana, la cantidad de tiempo esquiando en comparación con el tiempo en el remonte y de pie es aún menor, a veces mucho menor. Los remontes son peligrosos, especialmente el de Beaver Face. No hay barras de seguridad en el telesilla principal ni en el telesilla Harry's Dream, y las del telesilla Marge's Triple no funcionan. Solo el telesilla Little Beaver tiene una barra de seguridad en buen estado. El acceso a los remontes se realiza manualmente, a menudo con operarios distraídos o agresivos. Los boletos se escanean manualmente y las filas están desorganizadas. Los revisores de boletos y los operarios de los remontes suelen ser groseros con los esquiadores y muestran molestia por tener que tratar con ellos. Las filas para comprar boletos y alquilar equipo son largas. Los boletos se sellan manualmente y se añade un recargo al comprarlos en línea, pero aun así hay que hacer fila para recogerlos. El estacionamiento es insuficiente, especialmente los fines de semana. Se anuncian como un lugar familiar, pero la impresión que da no lo es. La actitud de los empleados me da la impresión de ser de irritación contenida por tener que tratar con los clientes. Lo único positivo de Beaver Mountain son la patrulla de esquí, compuesta enteramente por voluntarios, y la escuela de esquí, aunque esta última es más adecuada para esquiadores principiantes e intermedios. Si buscas una buena experiencia de esquí cerca de Cache Valley, prueba Snowbasin. Snowbasin, una estación de esquí muy superior, está a solo 30 o 45 minutos de Logan. Snowbasin es más caro que Beaver, pero si lo que buscas es gastar menos dinero para evitar las colas y soportar las molestias del lugar, entonces Beaver Mountain es para ti.

Basically a smaller powder mountain! Very good price for how big the mountain is! Snow is very good and powdery. They have an entire lift for beginners that also has 2 runs for more advanced skiers (good for families that want to stay close) has tons of black runs and blue runs that you can cross onto making every time feel new! Trails have enough space you don't feel crowded when in a group (and you can go through the trees for an extra challenge). I've also snowboarded here and its just as fun. Only downside i can say is, its out of the way so restaurants aren't close and the options on the mountain are good but the best.

Beaver Mountain is an awesome family-run ski resort in northern Utah. The ski resort is on a northern aspect, which means that the snow stays pristine until the temperatures warm up in spring. Saturday is the only day you really have to watch out for others, and if you come midweek you will almost feel like you have the entire mountain to yourself. There are plenty of options for different skill levels and the trails are well-networked. The biggest downside for me is that the mountain is normally only open 9-4. They do offer night skiing for an additional cost on some nights. But overall, amazing snow, great place, and also super cheap.

I have been skiing the "Beav" for 30+ years and prefer it to other resorts. The lifties are great, is a friendly mountain, usually good snow, no lift lines to speak of, great bang for your buck especially if you get your season pass in the spring. Some complain that the lifts are slow and are not detachable quads. I am glad because on a good powder day like yesterday the area would be skied out in no time. It has good backside skiing if you know the area. I hope others give the "Beav" poor reviews because I want to keep it for my own selfish self. Last year I skied 65 days at the Beav!!!

I grew up skiing Beaver Mountain, still one of my most favorite places to ski. It just feels like home, family friendly. Runs are a little limited due to the size of the mountain, but it is a lot of fun to take the family.
Lodge is always busy and full of people, it really needs to be expanded.
Value is great, if you are skiing the family, look into the season passes for locals, a great value.
Not a lot of steep and deep, but as I get older I get the less of that I ski.
All the snow is from the sky, so on low snow years watch for rocks, best skiing is when they have between 80-100 inches. At about 48 inches, all the rocks are pretty much covered.

The Beav is the hidden jewel of Utah skiing, please drive to the other resorts, we'll be skiing the beav!
