This hill is at its best in 20 years. Come see what they’ve done!

Wow! The Mountaintop at Grand Geneva (aka "Hot Dog Mountain") is absolutely incredible this year!
The 24/5 season alone is enough to set this place apart, but the terrain is what really blows me away. The mountain has gone back to its roots in the best way possible—creative grooming, expertly shaped jumps, and an insane variety of rails. It's clear the team put their hearts into making every inch of this place fun and exciting.
The black diamonds here are legit—when they say black diamond, they mean it. And that giant jump that was up for a few days? Absolutely epic. I’m crossing my fingers for features like that to stick around permanently. With more rails and features than anywhere else in SE Wisconsin (and honestly rivaling the best resorts in the Midwest), this place has jumped several notches in quality this year.
I hit the slopes with my wife on Sunday, and it was the perfect balance of fun for everyone. She loves the easy runs, while I couldn't get enough of the side hits and features scattered everywhere. For the first time, we were able to ski as a family, and everyone was entertained and having an absolute blast.
Hot Dog Mountain is back, and it’s better than ever. If you haven’t checked it out yet this season, what are you waiting for?

Paid full price for them to close at 7:30 pm and the runs weren't even worth it.

Skied here 1/26/20. I was pleasantly surprised. Sure, the hill isn't very high. But there are a lot of interesting and challenging runs for any skill level. It was the first time for the little kids in our family. The lessons were well-organized and helpful and the beginner terrain was perfect for them.
I skied on a Sunday and was very pleased to find out that, as a senior, my lift ticket was half-price, $27 -- not bad!
The only downside to Grand Geneva is that they want you to fill out a profile/liability form before skiing. You can do it on the computers in the chalet, but the lines can be long. But, you can also do this on-line beforehand. My advice is to fill this out the night before and then you can skip the lines.
Last piece of advice: try the walking tacos in the cafeteria -- very good!

We love it here. Perfect outing of snowboarding, skiing, sledding and ice skating with our 5 year old daughter. Lodge bar and restaurant has a warm cozy fireplace and ideal upfront views of the slopes. Yummy menu of foods to choose from and drinks to warm you up. Little arcade style carnival coin games inside the lodge. Coin lockers.

I had pretty low expectation for Grand Geneva based on some of the other reviews, but I went anyway just to try something different. Surprisingly, though it is small, it does have some terrain which is actually fun for an advanced skier. The trail "Top Notch"Â was steep and ungroomed, as was "ÂTimber"Â. This was a really nice change from the overgroomed, allegedly, "Âblack"Â runs most places have. Sure, it wasn't very long, but there was also no line for the lift, so I never had to wait to get back up the hill. On the down-side, Grand Geneva did not have much in the way of long, blue, cruising runs for intermediates. As a place to learn, though, it seemed fine. I could definitely see taking my kids there.

Grand Geneva is a resort that overall caters to wealthier Chicago people and it shows. Lift tickets and food are expensive for what it is offered. Really its a ridiculously small hill. There are two steep "Bump" hills and then a few runs that go around and between them. We went there on opening weekend when they offered free skiing or else we wouldn't have bothered. Its bunny hill is nice for learning. Most of the runs are very short. If you are serious about skiing or snowboarding go else where. At Christmas time the decorative lights are very nice at the entrance to the resort.

This is ideal for kids, or someone just learning, but beyond that I can't see a reason to go here.

We have been going to Wilmot for a number of years before trying out Grand Geneva. For basically the same drive, we get conveyor belts instead of tow ropes for our 4-year-old kids (back-saver and glove-saver), a beautiful resort, and a water park. They always have great ski and water packages too.

I don't like to bash many resorts, but this place so far is my least favorite in Wisconsin.
Last year we went up here to try it out for some new scenery, and was not having a good day at all.
The runs are short and it was very icy.
The staff wasn't helpful at all or kind. There was a little girl in front of us on the lift that fell coming off the lift, and instead of stopping the lift or asking if she was ok, the operator just stared at her.
I can only see this place good for beginners, which we had a couple with us, but for the most part, I would visit elsewhere unfortunately.
