¡Excelente!

I grew up on pajarito and it is where I learned how to ski and snowboard. After teaching my self to snowboard on the steep bumpy terrain I applied to be a snowboard instructor in Taos ski valley (a resort that is world renown for it's ski and board school). In other words learn on paja and dominate the rest of the mountains. I have also been to many resorts and ski areas in new Mexico and Colorado. And I will say I always end up coming back to paja. The terrain difficulty is second only to taos ( including Colorado mountains) and if you learn to snowboard hear you can enjoy your self on any mountain. Be ready for a challenging step and exciting experience. Remember that pajarito IS NOT a resort. They do have a restaurant, but no alcohol sales except during events and no lodging on the mountain. Los Alamos is only 5 miles away however, And while you're there check out the WWII museum where the atomic bombs are on display. ( Los Alamos is where the atomic bombs were made)
Famous for it's giant moguls, steeps, and short lifts and lift lines
Short runs, not much beginner terrain, lifts can break down

I went here for the first time when Keystone closed during Covid-19. I have to say I should've went to Ski Apache. This mountain is not groomed and it felt like I was riding at some mid atlantic resort after an ice storm. My biggest complaint is that the lifts are insanely outdated and sort of just whip around without slowing down at the bottom and the top. 1/10 would not recommend going to this resort.
Good Blues
Outdated lifts

When there's snow there is no better place to be! Not much beginner terrain, however. Get lessons from great staff.
Great staff, well trained
Not best for novice or beginners

New Mexico's hidden secret. I would compare it to any ski area, except for the crowds.
Close to Albuquerque.
I can't think of one.

Had a great time. Really like the terrain and the Mountain layout. Great price super nice people, staff included. That being said mechanical lift issues(2 lifts closed) drastically reduce the amount of runs. As an older skier with 50 plus year old knees I would have liked to see more groomed runs even though it was a couple days after the storm. I will definitely be back for another visit.
Nice mt great price
2 lifts broken down, could use some more grooming for the older skier

It’s opening day (12/29/18) after the ski area was closed most of last year, and ~150 people have been stuck on Aspen, the main lift, for an hour! This was the first ride up. And as far uphill as we can see, there is no sign of any ski patrollers getting anyone off the lift. I’m estimating we’ll be stuck on this chairlift for 2.5 hours. One would think a well managed ski area would have safety preventative maintenance procedures to prevent this from happening.
Not very crowded
Stranded on lift
